|Creativity drives wealth. Are your people
Dean Roger Martin showed how talent and creativity drives the economy. And how rewarding talent is expensive, but ultimately good for business.
An example: George Lucas who created the Star Wars franchise, required major concessions from the studio in terms of control and revenues.
But how do you separate the truly creative from those who just think they are?
Professor Daniel Trefler explained that the ability to be creative and make your vision come true, is set by the time a child is 6yrs old. A rich, varied and nurturing environment during those 6yrs, is critical.
You need to pay a lot, for creative people. To be sure you have the right person, consider reviewing their early childhood years.
